The next day was our first day at a port. We went to Grand Turks. We had never been there before so I was excited to try something else. Since we had the kids with us all of our excursions were just going to beaches. Nothing exciting. We read that Grand Turks was wiped out by a hurricane the year before and they weren't joking. There was hardly anything there but the beaches were beautiful. Our ship was the only one in port, making for uncrowded beaches.
Lexie is a water kid and has no fear at the beach. She loves getting run down by waves and everything else. It is fun to watch her as she gets pummeled. It is probably the only time she doesn't cry when she gets hurt.

Ryan DID NOT like the water. But he liked the beach for the most part. He liked to walk around and throw sand. I just love how he looks like he is relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
This is pretty much Ryan's hair the whole trip. Anytime we went in the sun we lathered him in sunscreen. He didn't get burned but man was it a pain to wash out. Especially since he loved to throw sand in his hair and the sunscreen made it stick extra good.
Josh also loves the water and being knocked down. Not as much as Lexie but he was happy to get all wet too. They were ecstatic to go to the beach each time. After we played at the beach for a few hours we went back to the boat and went swimming at the pool and ate lunch and then headed to our room for a good ole nap.

Ryan loved the hot tub. He would stay all day in there if he could.
While we didn't have the other kids at dinner because they were at kids club we always had Ryan. He actually did very well most nights. Though there were two where he was hard to keep entertained.
Ryan was the belle of the ship. After the night that one of the workers took him everyone knew him. All the workers loved to talk to him and hold him and watch him. And Ryan was in his element being fawned over. One example was we are eating dinner when one of the waiters comes up and shows Ryan a paper crane he had made for him and then proceeded to entertain him for 5 minutes. It was so cute. Most of the employees are on 10 month contracts and so they don't get to see their families for 10 months and so they fall in love with little kids that are on the boat. Everywhere we went it was "Hi, Ryan" or where is Ryan if one of us didn't have him.
My grandpa and I. It is so awesome that he is so willing to continue taking us on all of these trips. He says he wants us to build memories and he sure is doing that. I don't know of very many people who take their families on so many vacations. It shows how generous and loving he is.

I agree with Laura--that picture of Ryan kicking back on the beach is adorable! And I agree with you--your grandpa is so generous and loving and we appreciate all the trips he's been willing to take us on.
